Veteran broadcaster and former Director of TV Programmes at the former Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation for over 30 years, Desmond Elliott is dead.
Mr. Elliot died in the Buff Bay Hospital in Portland about 11:30 Sunday morning.
He was 75 years old.
At the time of his passing, he was a freelance producer for the programme, 'Golden Memories' on Public Broadcasting Corporation of Jamaica (PBCJ).
The management of PBCJ said Mr. Elliott will always be remembered as a meticulous, knowledgeable producer and broadcaster.
He was also described as a respectful and loyal friend; and a stately, respectable and dignified gentleman.
