The Department of Correctional Services has said visits to the Tamarind Farm Adult Correctional Centre in Salt Pond, St. Catherine have not been cancelled.
The police had reported earlier on Monday that visits to the facility had been restricted as they continue to quarantine detainees with suspected cases of tuberculosis and scabies.
However, in a news release Monday afternoon, the DCS said, visitation is still in effect at the correctional centre.
It said the scabies outbreak has affected only persons being held at the Tamarind Farm detention centre.
They were detained under the State of Emergency in St. Catherine.
Inmates at the correctional centre have not been affected.
