The sentencing hearing for entertainer Vybz Kartel and the three men convicted with him for murder, is expected to go ahead today in the Home Circuit Court, after being postponed last week.
The men were found guilty on March 13, in relation to the death of Clive "Lizard" Williams. However, the sentencing was postponed by Justice Lennox Campbell, who needed more information from the defence team. Kartel's lead attorney, Tom Tavares-Finson, says he has supplied the necessary information to Justice Campbell.
When this process is over, Kartel will also stand trial in the Half-Way-Tree Resident Magistrate's Court in August, for attempting to pervert the course of justice. He's charged jointly with entertainers Vanessa Saddler, otherwise called "Gaza Slim" and Andre Henry otherwise called "Pim Pim".
The three were charged in 2012, following an investigation into an alleged scheme to deceive the police in their probe of the murder of Mr Williams.
