Warehouse theft leaves operator with million dollar loss

The St Andrew South Police are probing an incident in which thieves broke into a warehouse on Westmain Drive, Kingston 20, and stole items valued at more than a million dollars.

About 6 pm, the operator was alerted to a break-in at the facility. On his arrival it was discovered that thieves had gained entry by cutting the grills to the front of the warehouse. 

The thieves  reportedly removed a number of items, including soap powder, cooking oil, rice rice, cornmeal, sugar, flour, red peas, butter, cornflakes and tissue, among other items.
