Robert Montague and Alando Terrelonge
Robert Montague has reacted to his appointment as Minister of Transport and Mining as well other changes made to the Cabinet by Prime Minister Andrew Holness.
On Tuesday, a day after being shifted from his former post as Minister of National Security, Mr. Montague told RJR News that the Prime Minister "appointed ministers and he has the right to shuffle the pack and change his team," adding, "we're all in support of the honourable Prime Minister."
"Anywhere Bobby Montague is sent, we will perform because we're a part of a team and the objective of the team is for prosperity for all the citizens of Jamaica," he asserted.
Mr. Montague held the National Security portfolio for two years.
Terrelonge
Alando Terrelonge, meanwhile, has said he is happy to be appointed State Minister in the Ministry of Culture, Entertainment, Gender and Sports.
Mr. Terrelonge told RJR News that he would like to make a difference as State Minister.
"It's about promoting brand Jamaica and how much can we take this," he said, pointing to a plan to establish more entertainment zones.
"What if we created more entertainment zones in Portmore away from residential areas, so persons can't complain about the noise and persons are able to enjoy just the free space, this free zone that is just devoted to entertainment...just think of the amazing possibilities," he highlighted.
He has also committed to promoting Jamaica's culture to young people.
"It's really an amazing synergy of our African traditions, things that we got from Europe and things that we just created that are uniquely Jamaican," he said enthusiasticly.
