The police have laid charges against the 55-year-old woman who was taken into custody in connection with the murder of another woman during a love triangle incident on the weekend.
Sharon Young, also called 'Roachie', a fish vendor of Beach Road, Nile Miles, Bull Bay, St. Andrew, has been charged for the stabbing death of Nicey Green-Edwards of Long Bay, Portland.
Investigators had reported that both women were involved with the same man and would take turn spending time at his house along Mountain View Avenue.
But Ms Young reportedly became enraged after she was unable to visit the address on recent weekends, as is customary, because Ms. Green-Edwards had been there for the last three weekends.
It is reported that about 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Ms. Green-Edwards was alone at the Mountain View House when Ms. Young confronted her and stabbed her twice in the neck.
Ms. Green-Edwards was rushed to hospital where she died while undergoing treatment.
