A man accused of attempting to rob a woman in Manchester on Thursday was disarmed and handed over to the police along with a firearm and fifteen cartridges. The firearm, a 9 millimetre pistol, had the serial number erased.
According to the Mandeville Police, shortly after midday the man was trying to rob the woman on Brumelia Road when he was held by alert citizens. He was disarmed and tied up.
The police were called and the man taken into custody. His identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
