Barbados PM Mia Mottley arrives in Ethiopia for state visit

Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley arrived in Ethiopia Thursday at the start of a state visit that also coincides with the 38th African Union Summit.

She was met on arrival at the Bole International Airport by her host, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.

In a statement posted on X, Prime Minister Mottley said she was "looking forward to finding pathways to work more closely together".

Prime Minister Mottley is being accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Kerrie Symmonds, along with the island's ambassadors to Kenya and Ghana, Alexander McDonald and Juliette Bynoe-Sutherland.
