Changes at CXC

Teachers will soon be able to sit in the comfort of their homes and mark examination scripts, as the Caribbean Examination Council, CXC embarks on a rigorous drive to save millions of dollars and make the organisation more self-sustainable.  This was revealed by Senior Assistant Registrar of the Examinations Administration and Security Division, Susan Giles earlier this week.

Ms. Giles said the Electronic Marking system also referred to as E-Marking is expected to come on stream within the next three to four years.  She added that the move is expected to save CXC as much as 18 million dollars to 19 million dollars an annum which is shelled out by the organisation to pay script markers.
