National Sunshine Girl Romelda Aiken recovered from a quite start to score 30 goals from 36 attempts as the Queensland Firebirds continued their unbeaten run in the Australian and New Zealand (ANZ) Netball Championship.
The Firebirds recorded a 51-36 win over the Southern Steel in Brisbane on Sunday.
It was the fourth straight win for the Firebirds while the Steel were left empty-handed after hoping to secure their first win on Australian soil.
On Saturday, the Adelaide Thunderbirds, led by Jamaican shooter Carla Borrego, with 37 goals from 44 attempts, defeated the Central Pulse 51-41.
The Canterbury Tactix, the team of Sunshine Girl Kasey Evering, will face Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic on Monday.
