National 800 metre record holder Navasky Anderson says he is more motivated to redefine middle distance running in Jamaica after recently breaking his own Jamaican record in the men's 800 metres.

Anderson clocked a new national record of 1 minute, 44.61 seconds at the Mission Run Baltimore High Performance meet in the USA on Sunday.

The former St Jago High and Missisippi State University standout broke his previous Jamaican record of 1 minute, 44.70 seconds set on July 30, 2023 in Washington, DC.

However, the 25 year old says he will not get carried away by his recent record, even as he gears up to compete at the National Championships later this month.
