In accordance with the
requirements of the Anti-Doping In-Sport Act 2008, Sports Minister sports Olivia
Grange has appointed a six member Jamaica Anti-Doping Appeals Tribunal.
The tribunal will be made up of Justices Rainford Langrin and Wesley James, Dr. Mark Minott, Lisa Palmer, Yvonne Kong and Ali McNab.
Among the tribunals' first responsibility will be to look into Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission's (JADCO's) appeal of the findings against the five Jamaican athletes charged with doping violations.
An independent Disciplinary Panel convened by JADCO had cleared Sherri Ann Brooks, Yohan Blake, Marvin Anderson, Lansford Spence and Allodin Fothergill of doping charges.
But JADCO was not satisfied with the results and will be appealing the panel's decision.
