The next title defence for Jamaican WBA Featherweight champion, Nicholas "The Axeman" Walters, is slated for October against WBA “super” World Champion Nonito Donaire Junior in California, according to reports.
Walters holds the WBA featherweight title in the alphabet soup of boxing.
The fight is set to be a co-feature bout on a card headlined by a middleweight clash between WBO middleweight boss Gennady Golovkin and arco Antonio Rubio.
The undefeated Walters saw action on the undercard of Donaire’s fight with Simpiwe Vetyeka in June in Macau, knocking out Vic Darchinyan in the fifth round to retain his title.
