The battle for the 6th and final playoff in the Wray & Nephew Jamaica Premier League (JPL) is still alive after Montego Bay United led by a double from Owayne Gordon blanked Harbour View 3-0 on Monday at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex.
Gordon sent Mo Bay ahead in the third minute before closing out the contest in the 85th.
Johan Weatherly scored the other goal for Mo Bay United in the 55th minute.
The victory took Mo Bay to 40 points but remain 7th, the same number of points as former champions Waterhouse who occupy the sixth and final spot on goal difference. Waterhouse have a positive 15 goal difference to MBU's positive nine.
Mo Bay play Tivoli Gardens in their final match on Sunday, while Waterhouse oppose Harbour View knowing that a win all but secures a spot in the playoffs.
In a game of academic interest only, Vere United and relegated Treasure Beach played out a goalless draw in Monday's other game.
