Blackwood advances in ICC test batting rankings

After scoring 49 in the first innings of the second test against South Africa, Jamaican Jermaine Blackwood jumped 12 places to 44th on the latest ICC test batting rankings.

Blackwood is now the highest ranked West Indies batsman as Jason Holder has now slipped to 49th. Another Jamaican, Nkrumah Bonner also fell to 54 with Kraigg Brathwaite 61.

Kemar Roach who was by far the best West Indies bowler on show, returning 3-45 and 4-52 in the second test , advanced a step closer to the top ten as he moved up to 12th place.

Jason Holder remains the top ranked bowler at 10 despite experience a negative shift. In the meantime Holder who started the series as the top-ranked all-rounder in tests has fallen to second place behind India's Ravindra Jadeja.
