Blackwood dropped from Windies test squad

Two years after being named vice captain, Jamaican batsman Jermaine Blackwood finds himself on the outside looking in at the regional test squad. 

Blackwood has been dropped from the West Indies test squad for the upcoming tour of Australia, as only one Jamacian has been included.

Blackwood who was previously the vice-captain of the test team, averaged 26.9 from 11 innings with two half centuries and a top score of 79 in 2023.

Alzarri Joseph has taken over the reins as vice-captain to support skipper Kraigg Brathwaite.
