Some Jamaican athletes who have not yet made the qualifying standard to the World Championships in Tokyo, are aiming to do so at this weekend's NACAC Championships in Nassau, Bahamas.
The team departed the island on Wednesday for the championships, where the area champions could have a shot at securing spots to represent Jamaica in Tokyo.
42 athletes have been assembled along with a 10-member delegation. The NACAC Championships will run from August 15-17 in Freeport, Bahamas.
