2011 world 100 metres champion Yohan Blake has welcomed the re-introduction of the 200 metres to the Diamond League calendar for the 2021 season.
organizers had removed the half lap event as well as the triple jump, discus and 3000 metres steeplechase from the main calendar for 2020, but Blake says that was a step in the wrong direction.
