BREAKING NEWS: Theodore ‘Tappa’ Whitmore axed

RJR Sports has been reliably informed that national coach Theodore Whitmore has been asked to resign by the Jamaica Football Federation headed by Captain Horace Burrell. This follows the team’s 2-0 defeat to Honduras Tuesday night, which was their fourth consecutive in the final round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying matches.

It is understood that Whitmore has not yet responded to the Federation. It's also understood the Federation will hold a press conference shortly to give an update on the situation.

The Jamaicans are at the foot of the six-team table with just two points from six games.

The USA leads with 10 points ahead of Costa Rica and Mexico 8, Honduras 7 and Panama 6.  The team's next game will be away to Panama on September 6.
