Brendan Nash returns to Australia

Out of favour Jamaica and West Indies batsman Brendan Nash has relocated to Australia in a quest to regain his form and love for the game.

Nash, who recently asked not to be selected to Jamaica's squad for the Super 50 one day regional tournament, played for Doutta Stars in the opening round of the Victorian Turf Cricket Association at the weekend.

He made 13 and took three wickets in a losing effort.

Nash, a former Windies vice captain until earlier this year, has also revealed that he has not been contacted by the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) since being dropped from the side.

The Australian-born Nash was dropped from the West Indies test team in June, due to a lack of runs and was also dropped from the WICB retainer contracts list earlier this month.

Noting that things were not going as well as he hoped, Nash, who is now living in Melbourne with his wife and daughter, says he is not sure when he will return to Jamaica.
