Football agent Craig Butler seems to have closed the door on Leon Bailey representing the Reggae Boyz. Butler, the agent of the European star, took to social media on Wednesday morning to address the issue of Bailey's availability.
The post came hours after a Gleaner report quoted JFF president Michael Ricketts saying he would refuse to let Bailey's agent and father, Craig Butler, use the federation like a 'patty shop' , with his demands for a position in the JFF.
Butler has since spoken with RJR Sports, indicating he will now leave Ricketts and the JFF. Butler said he hopes well-thinking Jamaicans would still support Bailey whenever they see him in action. Earlier this week, reports emerged out of England that the English FA was pursuing discussions over the possibility of Bailey representing that country through ancestral means. Butler said discussions with the English FA would continue later this week.
