Javon Francis, who ran a stunning anchor leg to earn Jamaica's mile relay team a silver medal at this year's IAAF World Championships in Moscow, Russia, said he is trying to cope with the pressure of being seen as a superstar.
The 18-year-old was honoured on Tuesday by his alma mater Calabar High School where principal, Albert Corcho promised to use Francis' performance as inspiration for the rest of the school.
However, Francis said the most important thing is to stay humble. Francis was among other high achievers such as Olympic Bronze Medalist and World Championship Silver Medalist, Warren Weir. He too was pleased with the gesture from his alma mater.
