The case brought by former selectors Courtney Browne and Eldine Baptiste against Cricket West Indies (CWI) for wrongful dismissal remains unresolved.

Attorney Tony Astaphan speaking on Tuesday evening's edition of the Mason and Guest cricket show in Barbados, said he only found out two weeks ago that Cricket West Indies' (CWI) request for an extension to file the witness statement was approved since last November.

In July of last year, Browne and Baptiste called on CWI to resolve the ongoing dispute between themselves and CWI to avoid spiralling court costs and further negative publicity for CWI.

In a letter dated April 10, 2019, Browne, who was former chairman of CWI selection panel and Baptiste, who was himself a selector, were informed that their services were no longer required by CWI after March 31, 2019.

The termination letters made reference to a task force established to review the selection system at all levels.
However, both Browne and Baptiste were dismissed before a review took place.
