Cavalier eliminated from CONCACAF Carib Club Championship

Cavalier FC ended their participation at the CONCACAF Caribbean Club Championship without a win after squandering a two goal advantage twice to draw 3-3 with Cibao FC in the Dominican Republic on Tuesday.

Dwayne Atkinson opened the score for Cavalier in the 29th minute and the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) champions were two goals up in the 37th, as Oscar Florencio scored an own goal.

Juan David Diaz pulled one back for Cibao in the 52nd, but Atkinson was at it again in the 63rd to restore Cavalier's lead.

The game however changed in 67th minute as Jeovanni Laing was sent off for a second bookable offence.

A minute later, Dairin Gonzalez scored the second for Cibao to make the game 3-2 before Erick Paniagua leveled things for the home club in the 74th. Cavalier finished bottom of Group 'A' with a point, while Cibao ended top with 4 points.
