Champion Bubbler creates mild upset in Caymanas Park feature

The Spencer Chung-trained Champion Bubbler with apprentice Tajay Suckoo, created a 10-1 mild upset to win the Mabrouk Sprint Trophy, the feature event on Saturday's 9-race programme at Caymanas Park.

The 6 year old American-bred bay mare produced a come from behind performance to land the Restricted Overnight Allowance contest for 3 year olds and up over the 5 straight course. She covered the distance in a minute flat, winning by two and three quarter lengths.

Meanwhile, champion jockey Raddesh Roman recorded a three-timer on the programme, winning aboard the 1-9 favourite Supernatural Power in race 3; Sir John at 3-1 in the 4th and the 1-2 choice Generational in race number 7.
Elsewhere on the programme, trainer Steven Todd achieved career win number 300 at Caymanas Park when the 3-1 chance Clowning Around under former champion jockey Dane Dawkins, opened the proceedings going 7 furlongs.

3-time former champion trainer Anthony "Baba" Nunes had a double on the card. Racing continues in four days' time with a 9-race Ash Wednesday programme.
