2019 World Championship bronze medallist Rushell Clayton along with Stephanie-Ann McPherson, Candice McLeod and Christopher Taylor all made progress to the final of their respective events on Wednesday evening at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
Clayton made her way into the 400 metre hurdles final on Friday after clocking a personal best of 53.63 seconds to qualify as one of the fastest losers. Clayton finished third in her semi-final behind medal prospect Femke Bol who won in 52.84.
National champion Janieve Russell and Shiann Salmon ended third in their semis with 54.66 seconds and 54.16 seconds respectively.
Meanwhile, Christopher Taylor was a non-automatic qualifier for the 400 metres final after logging a season's best 44.97 seconds to finish third behind world leader Michael Norman in 44.30.
Nathon Allen did not finish his semi because of an inflammed achilles tendon in an effort to save himself for the men's 4x4000 metres.
Elsewhere, Candice McLeod and Stephanie-Ann McPherson made their way into the women's 400 metre final after contrasting results.
McLeod finished second in a season's best 50.05 seconds behind Olympic champion Shaunae Miller Uibo in 49.55.
McPherson registered 50.56 seconds, the second slowest to make it to the final.
The 2013 medallist ended third behind the Dominican Republic's Fiordazila Cofil in 50.14, a new personal best.
Charokee Young faded into fifth in her semi with 51.41 seconds.
In the men's equivalent Christopher Taylor was a non-automatic qualifier for the 400 metres final after logging a season's best 44.97 seconds to finish third in his semi-final behind world leader Michael Norman of the USA who posted 44.30 seconds.
National record holder Navasky Anderson in his first competition for Jamaica, failed to make progress in the men's 800 metres by ending seventh in his heat in 1 minute, 48:37 seconds.
