Cumberland and Holy Trinity in 2-2 Manning Cup draw

Group "A" leaders Cumberland were held to a 2-2 draw by Holy Trinity in action from the ISSA Manning Cup at Winchester Park on Monday. Nicholas Shorter opened the scoring for Cumberland in the 8th minute before Holy Trinity equalized through their key talisman Roy Evelyn in the 27th minute.

In the second half, Cumberland regained the lead through Devantae Nembhard in the 68th minute, thanks to a through ball from Ryeem Gayle. But in the third minute of second half stoppage time, Evelyn was back for his second of the game and his 10th of the season to rescue a point for Holy Trinity.

With the result, Cumberland remain at the top of the group on 18 points while Holy Trinity moved to 16 points but slipped to third as St Jago edged Bridgeport 2-1.

In other results, Wolmer's Boys beat Greater Portmore 10-0 on the back of a 4-timer from Ronaldo Webster while St George’s College hammered Campion College 9-1 as Chantamoi Taylor scored four times.

Wolmer's have now moved to the top of Group 'E' on 26 points, while St George’s remain atop Group 'F' following their result. Elsewhere, STATHS beat Papine 4-0, St Catherine thrashed Northern Tech 13-0  and Calabar whipped Ardenne 9-0.
