Ennis becomes latest Jamaican fighter to go pro

2-time Caribbean amateur champion Jerone Ennis has become the latest Jamaican fighter to join the Canadian-based United Boxing Promotions outfit. It now brings the number of Jamaicans in the camp to five.

The 24 year old Ennis recently put pen to paper on a 5 year deal with the Tyler Buxton-led United Boxing Promotions.  

Ennis who fights in the light-heavyweight class, is set to make his professional debut on April 13 at the Pickering Casino in Toronto, Canada.  

The other Jamaicans under the United Boxing Promotions umbrella are heavyweight Ricardo "Big 12 " Brown; middleweight Kemahl "Hitman" Russell; superwelterweight Joshua Frazer and middleweight Shakeel Phinn.
