Excelsior defended their ISSA Grace Shield title inside two days after defeating last season's beaten finalist St Jago once again by a mammoth 277 runs at Chedwin Park on Wednesday.
Resuming day two on 29-0 in their second innings after being bowled out for 127 in their first innings on Tuesday, the Eagles returned to the ascendancy, posting a massive 328-6 declared.
All-rounder David Dewar led the way with a century, getting to 107. Justin Adlam was next best with 70.
In reply, St Jago, who made 136 in their first innings, batted a player short, as captain Vitel Lawes fell ill and was taken to hospital.
That absence was keenly felt, as St Jago tumbled to 42 all out. Geovanni Grey was the pick of the Excelsior bowlers, bagging 6-30, while Demarco Scott picked up 3-12.
