The 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament has been given new dates and is among further changes made by football’s world governing body FIFA to the men's and women's international match calendars in light of the global disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The preliminary rounds of the gold cup tournament will now be staged from July 2 -6, 2021 and the tournament proper from July 10 to August 1.
The tournament was originally scheduled to be held from July 2 through to July 25, 2021
Players will be released by their clubs for the tournament by a mandatory release date of June 28, 2021. The host nation for the tournament is yet to be announced. Mexico are defending champions.
Jamaica's Reggae Boyz were semi-finalists at the 2019 edition.
