The first witness in the multi-million dollar INSPORTS fraud trial, Renardo Smith, is set to return for a third day on Friday to continue giving evidence.
Returning for a second day, Smith who is the former Administrative Director of INSPORTS, on Thursday continued to give a detailed outline of the operations of the institution under his tenure.
However, with some evidence still outstanding, presiding judge, Justice Ann-Marie Lawrence-Granger, adjourned the matter until 10:00 am on Friday.
Former Chief Financial Officer Andrew Wright, along with five co-defendants are accused of defrauding INSPORTS of $222 million.
The fraud and other irregularities were detected at the sporting agency in 2017 during an examination of its financial records.
