Fowler and West Coast Fever win historic Suncorp Super Netball title

Jamaica's world-rated goal-shooter Jhaniele Fowler and her West Coast Fever team have broken Western Australia's 25 year title drought, beating the Melbourne Vixens 70-59 on the weekend to win their first Suncorp Super Netball title.

Fowler had a near perfect night with 58 goals from 59 attempts for a 98 percent shooting accuracy in a match-winning display.

The Fever led from start to finish with quarterly advantages of 18-14; 35-29 and 54-45.

West Coast Fever had lost the 2020 and 2021 grand finals to the Vixens and Swifts respectively.

Meanwhile, Fowler along with fellow Sunshine Girls Shamera Sterling and Latanya Wilson have been named in the Suncorp team of the year.
