Fowler expects Sunshine Girls to perform well at Fast5 Series

Sunshine Girls regular captain Jhanielle Fowler says she doesn't expect the inexperienced make-up of the squad to work against them at the upcoming Fast5 World Series in New Zealand.

The squad will be missing a number of regular faces including Fowler as they look to better their second place finishes in 2018, 2017 and 2009.

But, even with the likes of Shamera Sterling, Shanice Beckford, Khadijah Williams and Adean Thomas to miss the championship, Fowler says the squad still has enough firepower to overcome their inexperience.

In further assessing the squad, Fowler says the shortest version of the sport actually suits the players  who have been selected.

The 2022 Fast5 Netball World Series will be held this Friday and Saturday, November 5 and 6 in Christchurch, New Zealand. The Silver Ferns are defending champions.
