Fowler-Nembhard leads Fever to crushing win over Firebirds

Ace goalshooter Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard scored 62 goals from 64 attempts in helping former champions West Coast Fever to a 94-58 win over the Queensland Firebirds in round 5 of the Suncorp Super Netball League in Australia over the weekend.

Fellow Sunshine Girl Shanice Beckford weighed in with 4 super shot goals from 5 attempts as well as 4 goals from 6 attempts in regular time. The Fever held quarterly leads of 26-16, 49-28 and 74-48.
 
Elsewhere, defending champions Adelaide Thunderbirds behind 32 points from 34 attempts by veteran Sunshine Girl Romelda Aiken-George, outscored the Melbourne Mavericks 59-37.

The Giants beat the Sunshine Coast Lightning 86-80, while Melbourne Vixens had a close 61-59 win over the New South Wales Swifts.

West Coast remain leaders of the table on maximum 20 points from 5 games. Melbourne Vixens are also on 20 points, but trail the Fever based on goal percentage.
