Gayle fall two plays in ICC batting rankings

Former West Indies captain Chris Gayle is the only West Indies player listed in the top 20 of the International Cricket Council (ICC) one day international rankings.

However, Gayle has still fallen two places to number 15.

The big hitting cricketer, who scored 170 runs from five innings in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 which ended on Saturday, is followed in the rankings by fellow West Indians Shivnarine Chanderpaul who is at number 21 while Ramnaresh Sarwan is at number 35.

No West Indies player features in the top 20 in the bowlers’ rankings.

The highest ranked bowler is West Indies Captain Darren Sammy at number 37, followed by medium pacer Dwayne Bravo at number 38 and left-arm spinner Suleiman Benn in 39th spot.
