Ground to be broken on Tuesday for lights at Sabina Park

The dream of having lights of Sabina Park, Jamaica's cricket ground, should move closer to reality on Tuesday with a ground breaking ceremony at 10am.

The government and Sabina Park holdings, are moving to expedite the process in an attempt to meet the deadline given by organisers of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in order to host matches in this year's T20 competition.

RJR Sports also understands that Tankweld Metals is the company contracted to construct the light poles to be erected at the park.

Jamaica is home of the defending champion, Jamaica Tallawahs.

The CPL tournament is set to start in July.
