Honour Prince and Hansa won the feature races at Caymanas Park on Saturday, as native bred 3 year olds continued their build-up for the upcoming Jamaica 1000 and 2000 Guineas, the first two classics of the local racing season.

Honour Prince with Phillip Parchment aboard, was awarded the Prince Consort Stakes for colts and geldings over 7 furlongs in the stewards' room after the disqualification of first past the post runaway star under champion jockey Raddesh Roman.

Runaway Star was eventually placed behind Honour Prince for causing interference and intimidation at the 300 metre mark. A jockey's objection by Parchment against Roman was also upheld.

Meanwhile, the outcome of the Thornbird Stakes for fillies also over 7 furlongs, was more straightforward, as the Richard Azan-trained 9-2 chance Hansa with inform apprentice Tajay Suckoo, was produced in deep stretch to overhaul Social Aviator. The 3 year old bay filly covered the distance in a minute, 28.3,  winning by a length and three quarters.

Suckoo and 14-time former champion trainer Phillip Feanny each had two winners on the programme with their double being closed out by the 3-5 favourite Fearless Force in the 9th event. Racing continues next Saturday.
