Immaculate Prep captures Swimming Championships

Immaculate Prep were crowned overall champions at the ASAJ Primary/Prep Swimming Championships at the National Stadium pool on the weekend. Immaculate scored 372.5 points ahead of Wolmer’s 346 and Saints Peter and Paul 282. In the girls section, Mona Prep finished a distant second with 102 with third going St Peters and Paul on 95.

On the boys side, Wolmer’s scored 254 points over Saints Peter and Paul Prep 187 and Hillel Prep 106.

Joshua Alleyne broke the 50 metre backstroke record for the boys 11 – 12 age group with a time of 37.51 seconds, beating the previous best of 38.29 seconds.

Zanetta Alvaranga broke the national age group record, swimming to 30.02 in the girls 9-10 free finals.
