JAAA names men's 4x400m squad for New Life Invitational in the Bahamas

Jevaughn Powell, the nation's fastest man over 400 metres this year is among 6 athletes selected by the JAAA's  to contest the 4x400 metres at the New Life Invitational in the Bahamas on Sunday June 16.

Powell who recently clocked 44.54 seconds for third at the NCAA Division One Outdoor Championships last Friday is joined by fellow collegiate athletes Kimar Farquaharson, Tarees Rhoden, Reheem Hayles and Shevioe Reid.

Malik James King completes the squad.

Mark Elliott has been named head coach with Lamar Richards as the other coach.

The administration is seeking to have the nation's team get one of two available qualifying spots to the Olympic Games in Paris France having missed out on an automatic place at the World Relays in May.
