Jamaica were fighting back against Guyana Jaguars at stumps on day-2 of their 4-day WICB Regional Professional Cricket League encounter at Sabina Park.
Batting a second time, The Jaguars were 54-4, holding an overall lead of 191 runs with six second innings wickets in hand and two days to go. Shivnarine Chanderpaul is unbeaten on 6, while Marquino Mindley has so far claimed 2-16 with Jason Dawes and David Bernard Jr each taking one wicket.
Jamaica were dismissed for 177, led by Jermaine Blackwood and Horace Miller each hitting 44 and wicketkeeper Carlton Baugh Jr made 29. Veerasammy Permaul showed sizzling all round form taking 4-22 while Devendra Bishoo took 2-30. Permaul was left not out on 86 for the Jaguars who resumed day-2 on 298-8 and were bowled out for 314.
Dawes took 3-28 in Guyana' first innings, while Odean Brown took 3-70 and Damion Jacobs 2-64.

In other matches, the Leewards Hurricanes were struggling at 84-5 at stumps in their first innings reply to Barbados Pride who made 406-6 declared. Shane Dowrich hit 131 not out for the Pride who resumed day-2 on 182-4.
And Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel were fighting at 129-5 in their first innings, replying to the Windwards Volcanoes total of 400-8 declared.
