The Jamaica Netball Association
(JNA) says it will focus on the development of rural area netball coaches in
2010.
JNA President Marva Bernard says having netball properly structured in all the parishes including rural parishes is of utmost importance to the overall development of the sport locally.
In the meantime, the JNA month long 50th anniversary celebration will officially get underway on Saturday with the restart of the Scotiabank Nursery Squad at the Queen's School.
Several activities are planned to celebrate the milestone, including a series of matches between the Sunshine Girls against Australia and New Zealand, at the National Indoor Sports Centre.
A 50th anniversary banquet will also be held at the Jamaica Pegasus on Friday October 23.
