John Campbell back on the radar of CWI

Jamaica Scorpions captain John Campbell is back on the radar of Cricket West Indies (CWI) after being called-up to a high-performance programme in Antigua.

Campbell who returned last year from a two year anti-doping ban, has been called-up to a camp featuring 30 of the region’s most promising players.

Jordan Johnson, Kirk McKenzie Jnr, Tamarie Redwood and youth player Vitel Lawes are the other Jamaicans at the camp.

The initiatives brought together international expertise and regional talent in an unprecedented effort to strengthen both playing and coaching capabilities.

The first two initiatives focus on advanced batting techniques against spin bowling and enhancing spin bowling capabilities with a focus on wrist spin.

The specialized high-performance batting spin and spin bowling camp began on January 11 and runs until January 17.
