Knight-Wisdom into 3m springboard semis at World Aquatics Championship

Jamaica's 2019 Pan American Games silver medallist Yona Knight-Wisdom finished 11th overall and qualified for the semi-finals of the men's 3 metre springboard at the World Aquatics Championships in Doha.

Knight-Wisdom tallied 385.65 points which left him 107.4 points behind the overall leader heading into Wednesday's semi-finals.

However, the other Jamaican competitor, Yohan Esrick Parkinson failed to make progress after finishing 61st overall with 250.65 points.

On Sunday, Knight-Wisdom and Esrick Parkinson  placed 13th in the 3 metre synchronized event with a score of 337.17 points.

The pair became the first Jamaican and Carifta region duo to compete in the men's 3 metre synchronized diving competition when they competed in 2023. The championships which began on February 2, runs until February 18.
