Leading trainer/jockey combine to win main event at Caymanas Park

Champion trainer Jason DaCosta and leading jockey Reyan Lewis combined for a double including the main event on Saturday's 6-race card at caymanas park.

The pair teamed up with the 3-5 favourite Lure of Lucywho landed the Overnight Allowance contest for 3 year old and up over the 5 straight course.    

Lure of Lucy,a 5 year old American-bred bay mare, covered the distance in a minute and four fifths of a second to win by 2-and-a-quarter lengths.

Lewis' double took his tally for the season to 60 wins, 16 clear of reigning champion Dane Dawkins and Tevin Foster.

There was also a double on the abbreviated programme for former champion jockey Anthony Thomas and topline trainer Richard Azan.

Racing which resumed on Saturday following last weekend's double cancellation, is set to continue next Saturday.
