Lee picks up JA’s first 2010 World Junior Championship medal

Jamaica picked up its first medal of the World Junior Championship when Dexter Lee landed gold in the men's 100 meters in Moncton, Canada earlier Wednesday night.

19-year-old Dexter Lee became the first man ever to win back to back World Junior titles in the men's 100 metres as he narrowly secured Jamaica's first gold medal of the championships.

The Jamaican dipped to the line to stop the clock at 10.21, the fastest
championships winning time since Darrell Brown's competition record in 2002 with just two hundredths of a second to spare over American Charles Silmon.
