Loney joins Sprintec

2015 Pan- American Games Under-20 4x400m relay silver medallist Dawnalee Loney is now taking orders from a new coach. She's now into her first full season under the watchful eyes of Maurice Wilson at the Sprintec Track Club. The 23 year old Loney who attended the Mico University College, has not gone below 53 seconds since running her personal best of 52.05 in 2017.

She competed only twice in 2019, running the 400m and 200m in one day at the GC Foster Classics in March. Loney joins the likes of former St Elizabeth Technical High School sprinter Andrew Fisher as athletes to have moved to the GC Foster College-based club in the last two seasons.

Fisher who now represents Bahrain, made the move to Sprintec ahead of last season, having spent time with his high school coach Reynaldo Walcott in Santa Cruz.
