Former national goalkeeper Richard 'Spoon' McCallum says he wouldn't have taken up the general secretary role at Waterhouse if he knew the difficulties before hand.

McCallum who took up the job full time after his retirement in 2015, has seen the Drewsland- based club struggle in the Red Stripe Premier League over the past two seasons.

Speaking on Hitz 92 FM's Girl's Sports Club on Thursday, McCallum believes the job is overbearing. “It is a round-the-clock job responsibility, it never stops. It’s really a demanding position. At this point I would say (I) regret but if I had known the challenges that were ahead, I would probably think differently as it relates to giving my service,” said McCallum.

Despite his issues, the former Waterhouse standout says the club is trying everything it can to improve the team's fortunes.
