Two days after returning from the West Indies tour of Australia, Kirk McKenzie has been included in the Jamaica Scorpions 14 member squad for the opening regional 4-day match against the Windward Islands Volcanoes at Sabina Park starting on Wednesday.
The squad to be captained by Jermaine Blackwood includes Nkrumah Bonner, Marquino Mindley and Chadwick Walton who have test experience. It will be Walton's first game for Jamaica since 2019.
Former West Indies Under 19 captain Ramaal Lewis who made his debut for Jamaica in 2015, is back in the fold after playing for the Guyana Harpy Eagles up to 2019.
Derval Green, Abhijai Mansingh, Peat Salmon, Jeavor Royal, Gordon Bryan, Romaine Morris and Carlos Brown are the other members of the squad.
Jamaica finished without a win in the 4-day competition last season. Other matches at the ground will have Combined Campuses and Colleges facing Barbados at Chedwin Park.
In St Kitts, the Leeward Islands Hurricanes will oppose Windies Academy at Warner Park and Guyana Harpy Eagles squaring off with Trinidad & Tobago Red Force at Conaree Cricket Center.
