Sunil Narine's return to test cricket has been a triumphant one so far in the third test match between West Indies and New Zealand at Hamilton, grabbing six first innings wickets and giving his side a narrow lead on day three.
Narine, brought into the playing eleven, after Shane Shillingford was suspended because his bowling action was deemed "illegal", did not disappoint. He took 6/91 from 42.3 overs, restricting New Zealand to 349 runs, 18 short of the visitors' total of 367.
His job is far from over, however, as, with such a slim lead, the West Indians will be hoping to bat well in their innings, set a challenging target and bowl the Kiwis out short of that for a series levelling win. Bowling on a wearing pitch, Narine and fellow spinner, Veerasammy Permaul, will be expected to do the bulk of the damage for the West Indies.
