No Sunday racing on 2017 local calendar

The 2017 local racing calendar is showing a total of 75 race days but no dates for Sunday racing. Caymanas Track Limited’s Racing Secretary DenzilMmiller Junior explained that there were two reasons for the absence of Sunday racing dates.

“The management team sat down and discussed it. We honestly thought that it needed some changes and we saw it fit for our incoming new operators (Supreme Ventures Limited) to look at it in a different light and see how best we can relaunch it and do something different with it,” said Miller.

The 2017 calendar which is subject to change, has 52 Saturday's, 16 Wednesdays and 7 public holidays listed for racing.
